Sometimes in life and in fishing we get lucky, and the deepest meaning is often found in an unlikely place.

A Friendship Centered Around Overcoming & Going Fishing.

In 2015 Wade was paralyzed in a construction accident in North Lake Tahoe. A lifelong passion for fishing and the outdoors turned into a painful reminder of what was lost. After a few years of intense physical therapy and lots of time in the hospital there was little hope for a full recovery and even less hope of being able to fish in the remote areas that Wade had explored and dreamed of his whole life. Struggling to adjust to a new life in a wheelchair, Wade attended college and pursued a career in finance but always had dreams of getting back to fishing, traveling, and making the most of what ability he had left.

In 2019 he moved to Florida and shortly after met his best friend and fishing partner Lucas.

Lucas has spent his life on or near the water in some capacity and had always dreamed of being a charter captain. Meeting Wade, hearing his story and seeing his drive to live an independent life and get back on the water was the inspiration he needed to take some action and pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a captain. After buying a boat the two friends went to work sanding, painting, and figuring out how to get Wade and his wheelchair 50 miles offshore. Hundreds of hours of work turned into hundreds of hours of fishing and a story of overcoming. The gift of friendship turned into the gift of overcoming and pursuing a dream to live more fully in the face of loss and share the ocean with folks from all walks of life and levels of ability.
